Who is responsible

An individual developer independently maintains Pregnancy Metrics and makes the final decision to publish or correct each page. Automated tools may assist with drafting or checking, but they are not medical authorities or final reviewers. No external clinician certification, hospital approval, or professional-society endorsement is claimed.

What is checked

• Sources and formulas: whether a cited source supports the specific method, assumption, number, or limit stated on the page.
• Wording and medical boundaries: whether estimates are clearly distinguished from diagnosis, treatment, clinical records, or certainty about biological events.
• Usability and accessibility: whether people can understand the result, use the controls and errors, and read the page on smaller screens.
• Rendered behavior: whether the calculator actually displays the result and limits described in its public explanation.

Source standards

Sources are selected for the claim they directly support. Where appropriate, current guidance from professional organizations, public-health agencies, and primary research is preferred. The population, jurisdiction, date, and setting of a source matter: a valid source in one context may not support a different claim. Published guidance can be updated, withdrawn, or superseded. The Methodology lists the sources used for the calculator methods.

Formula and explanation consistency

A public formula description should match the calculator's actual output, including its supported inputs and important exceptions. Material method or product changes call for the explanation and result to be checked again. The site also checks that date calculations and displayed results remain consistent across ordinary and boundary examples. These checks do not establish clinical validity for an individual patient.

Updates and review limits

A formula change, changed authoritative guidance, a discovered factual or source-mapping error, or a change in calculator behavior can trigger a new review. Minor presentation changes are not described as medical review, and no fixed clinician-review schedule is claimed.
