What calculator results mean
A due date is a calendar estimate, not a guaranteed delivery day. Gestational age depends on the date record and options entered. A conception result is a derived calendar estimate, not confirmation of a biological event. The IVF due-date calculator uses a documented day-3 or day-5 embryo transfer date.
Incorrect, remembered incorrectly, incomplete, or unsuitable inputs can produce unsuitable results. Mathematical consistency is not the same as individual clinical accuracy.
A weight-gain result is a guideline-based educational reference. It is not a nutrition prescription, weight-loss plan, fetal-growth or fluid assessment, treatment plan, or conclusion that a pregnancy is healthy or abnormal. This tool does not classify current change against a validated cumulative weekly curve.
A pregnancy-test timing result is a general home-test timing reference. It does not determine pregnancy. An early negative result can be a false negative, and a positive home test does not establish pregnancy location, viability, gestational age, or due date. Fertility medicines containing hCG and recent pregnancy can affect interpretation; follow appropriate clinical guidance.
An ovulation or fertile-window result is a calendar estimate for the entered cycle. It cannot confirm whether or when ovulation occurred, calculate individual pregnancy probability, or identify safe days for contraception. It is not a contraceptive method.
Reasonable efforts are made to keep formulas, explanations, and implementation consistent, but no result is guaranteed to be complete, error-free, current, or appropriate for an individual clinical situation.
Pregnancy records and ultrasound take priority
The current estimated due date in the pregnancy record, together with guidance from the prenatal or fertility care team, takes priority over an online calculation. Early pregnancy ultrasound and clinical assessment may confirm or revise dates. For a pregnancy following embryo transfer, use the embryo age, actual transfer date, and estimated due date recorded by the fertility clinic. Pregnancy Metrics supports only documented Day-3 and Day-5 embryo transfers. Other embryo ages, an unknown embryo day, or other ART dating situations are outside this calculator's supported inputs; use the due date assigned by the clinic. Do not use this website to redate a pregnancy or change a clinical record yourself. The Methodology describes the site's calendar conventions.
What the site cannot determine
The site cannot determine pregnancy viability, pregnancy location, miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, fetal growth, fetal wellbeing, congenital conditions, labor status, diagnosis, treatment, medication safety, need for testing, timing of delivery or intervention, clinical redating, ultrasound interpretation, or individualized risk.
Symptoms and urgent care
This website cannot evaluate symptoms or decide whether a problem is urgent. Do not wait for a calculator result or a support-email reply when you have a health concern. Contact an appropriate healthcare professional for any health concern. For a possible emergency, contact local emergency services. The support email is not an emergency channel.
Conception and IVF limits
A conception estimate does not confirm fertilization, intercourse, implantation, or parentage, and cannot determine whether a particular intercourse event led to a pregnancy. The IVF calculator does not determine implantation, viability, treatment success, or embryo quality, and does not replace fertility-clinic records.
