Pregnancy Metrics is an independently developed educational website maintained by an individual developer. It provides one browser-based Pregnancy Tracker and 4 record-based tools: Pregnancy Record, IVF Transfer Dating, Trying & Testing, and Pregnancy Weight. Together they provide an optional longitudinal pregnancy record, transparent calculations, references, and plain-language guides.
People use the calculators with a date, cycle information, pregnancy record, or measurement information they already have. No account is required, and calculations run in the browser without a project-controlled database. Pregnancy Record and the weight tracker use optional local browser storage only after the user explicitly chooses to save them on that device.
It is not a clinic, hospital, medical provider, diagnostic service, or official calculator of ACOG, ASRM, or another professional organization.
Independent development and editorial responsibility
Pregnancy Metrics is independently developed and maintained by an individual developer. It is not operated by a clinic, hospital, medical practice, or professional society.
Calculator formulas and factual page content are based on published guidance and reference materials from recognized medical, professional, government, and public-health organizations. Sources are selected for the specific formula, assumption, definition, or boundary being explained, and public explanations are checked against the code that produces each result.
Reasonable efforts are made to keep the site accurate, clear, and current. However, Pregnancy Metrics cannot guarantee that every page is complete, error-free, or appropriate for every person or clinical situation. The site does not currently claim external clinician certification.
Pregnancy Metrics provides educational pregnancy dating, preconception ovulation timing, home pregnancy-test timing, and weight-gain reference information only. - The site helps people understand an estimated due date, pregnancy weeks, a calendar conception estimate, an IVF due date, a home pregnancy-test timing reference, an ovulation timing estimate, or a guideline-based pregnancy weight-gain reference.
- The information comes from a date, cycle information, pregnancy-weeks record, or pre-pregnancy height and weight the person already has.
- A partner, family member, or supporter can use the same tools to understand the same pregnancy or reference information.
- The site answers dating, pregnancy-weeks, ovulation timing, pregnancy-test timing, and weight-gain reference questions. It does not evaluate symptoms, ultrasound images, fetal development, or a personal medical record.
What the site currently provides
Pregnancy Tracker is the longitudinal product layer, and 4pregnancy and preconception tools are available now. Each workflow owns one record-based task family and returns only the results that record can support.
Pregnancy Tracker
Keeps the current dating basis visible beside optional weight entries, appointments, plain-text notes, recent activity, and closed read-only pregnancy history. It begins in tab memory and uses localStorage only after explicit opt-in.
Plain-language guides explain pregnancy dating, weight-gain recommendations, home pregnancy testing, and ovulation-tracking concepts alongside the calculators.
Pregnancy Timeline & Dating Record
Keeps multiple dating records visible, labels their provenance and derived dates, and lets the user explicitly select a Pregnancy Metrics timeline basis without overwriting a current clinical EDD.
IVF Due Date Calculator
Estimates a due date from a documented Day-3 or Day-5 embryo transfer date for a fresh or frozen transfer.
Pregnancy Weight Gain Calculator
Uses pre-pregnancy BMI and pregnancy type to show guideline-based total gain, published rate context, and an optional local tracker.
Trying & Testing Timeline
Uses one LMP-and-cycle, expected-period, ovulation, DPO, or recent-sex record to show every supported cycle, fertile-window, expected-period, and home-test timing reference without calculating probability or diagnosis.

How the calculators work
- Calculator inputs are processed in the browser. No account, profile, or login is required.
- Default calculator inputs are not saved to a project-controlled database.
- Calculator results are produced from documented calendar rules or published reference frameworks applied to user-entered values; they are not generated as medical guesses by an AI model.
- The formulas, assumptions, and official sources are published on the methodology page.
- Like all websites, hosting services still receive routine network request data. The privacy notice explains what is received and how it is handled.
How content is checked and maintained
- Pages finalized under the published review process cite authoritative sources relevant to the specific formula, assumption, or boundary on that page.
- For those pages, formulas and public content are checked against the actual code that runs in the browser.
- They are verified through content contracts, browser tests, accessibility checks, and Production acceptance.
- The methodology page publishes the formulas and official references. The editorial and methodology review explains how content is reviewed, tested, and released.
- Pregnancy Metrics does not currently claim external clinician certification.
